maintenance planning

Scheduled or reactive or both?

Depending on your type of business you will need to perform maintenance on your resources either on a regular planned basis or reactive when a breakdown occurs, or more typically some of both. In all cases maintenance is typically a hindrance to production, and can have dramatic impact on both your bottom line and top line. Especially so when it is needed on your bottleneck resources, or when it causes you to delay customer shipments.

Maintenance planning itself is no rocket science. Most companies use a simple spreadsheet to do the math. The downside is that it is hard if not practically impossible to do it in such a way that minimizes the impact on your production and overall plant throughput. If you feel the pain of maintenance on your production efficiency you need a solution that combines maintenance planning with production planning. Wahupa SCM is such a solution: all supply chain management aspects are combined in one product.

We have not built maintenance planning building blocks yet, but we are looking for customers. Learn about the pros and cons of becoming an early adopter.
